Hoarding is a very complex issue that goes well beyond clutter and disorganisation. It is a mental health condition that can significantly impact the well-being of individuals, their families, and their living environments.
Once the client is ready to start moving forward, we make the plan.
We need to review the site situation and talk to client to see how ready and involved they wish to be throughout the process.
It's advised that the client be an active participant throughout the entire plan.
The final outcome and sense of accomplishment is very helpful to the recovery process.
Our staff work with the client during all stages of the process, checking in and re-assessing the scope to ensure comfort and productivity throughout the project.
When scheduled Freelance PA will attend the property and begin the organisation process. This involves the client spending the entire booking with our team. The client will advise on all items in the home.
Keep, discard, store, relocate, donate and sell.
Once items are organised we start the cleaning process. The client can sit back and relax through the cleaning process.
In our experience, we see most clients find the Implementation stage hard. They struggle to let go is more daunting than expected. They often feel embarrassed and isolated.
But, once the process is complete the client's are weightless.
The difference is very noticeable.
We see accomplishment and relief.
When looking back our client's find that the task was made so much bigger than what is was in reality.
Being involved is a great way to heal through the process and to learn what is and isn't really important.

If you are about to take on the Hoarding Program, download the PDF's and fill them in. Then when our team arrive onsite, discuss the documents. This helps people around you, understand why you have the items you have and why you made the decisions you made.
If you complete the documents prior to FPA attending site, the process is done faster. But most importantly you have had plenty of time to consider all reason to keep, discard, store, relocate, donate and sell the items.
The items belong to you. You need to decide on the outcome.
